Welcome to Beauty Around the Clock, Marie Claire's weekly peek into the daily lives of some of the most game-changing women in their industries. Ever wonder how they get it all done in a day? Here's your answer.

Sarah Gibson Tuttle, the founder and CEO of Olive June, wants your nails to look good. After moving cross country to Los Angeles and not being able to find a nail salon up to her New York City standards, she created her own. Her mission: luxury-level service at an approachable price. Angelenos flocked and Olive June quickly became a hot spot in Beverly Hills. The brand launched pro-level nail in 2019—and just in time. Below, the mani obsessed entrepreneur shares how she gets it all done.

    Rise and Shine

I want to say the first thing I do when I wake up is meditate, but I check my phone. It's the worst habit.

    Morning Maintenance

I spend about ten minutes on my beauty routine in the a.m. A little skincare and then a little makeup, just trying to look and feel awake, especially if I have a video call. I’m a pretty high maintenance skincare person. I listen to everything Shani Darden tells me to use: Dr Nigma Serum No 1, plus SPF in the morning. And I am devoted to the Shani Darden Retinol Reform every night.

My morning latte is mostly almond milk with a splash of black tea. Sometimes I'll do a coffee or a matcha latte. And if I don’t work out in the morning, it won’t happen. I have recently been loving Taryn Toomey’s The Class. I actually prefer working out at home.

    Signature Look

I like to look like I’m not wearing makeup and my nails are always done. Kosas Lip Oil in Jellyfish and their blush in Tropic Equinox are my staples. I paint my nails once or twice a week. It really serves as a moment for me to relax and makes me feel totally pulled together even in this pretty chaotic life moment. I’m currently wearing Sweet Gracious from our new Olive June loves Zeba Collection.

    Self-Care Ritual

As always, I'm trying to be as kind to myself as possible. This is a moment where we really need self-care and to let ourselves feel all the feelings. I always disconnect on Friday night—you’ve just run yourself ragged and no one expects an email. It’s a magical moment in the week.

    Worth It

A luxurious signature body scrub treatment at Pellequr Spa in Beverly Hills. I think there is something so physically and emotionally uplifting about a body scrub. Also, Botox. Nothing makes you look more awake.

    Best Advice

Don’t worry about what anyone else is doing. Be totally and completely focused on what you’re doing, what you’re delivering, and who you’re serving.

    Backup Career

    Entrepreneurs don’t have one!

    Hidden Talent

I’m a pretty good runner. I finished a marathon after pulling a muscle in my hip on mile 22.

    P.M. Routine

I try to spend as little time as possible on my beauty routine at night. All I want to do is crawl into bed. I wash my face, then put on so much Shani Darden's Retinol Reform on my skin and Olive June Cuticle Serum n my nails. I don't have a nighttime hair routine. Should I have a hair routine? At night, I also love using the Kosas Lip Fuel in Baseline and Rescue Plus Sleep Gummies.

    Lights Out

I get to bed around 10 or 11 p.m. so I get through as many emails as possible but can still sleep until 6 a.m. or so. The last thing I do before bed is scroll Instagram. Again, I really want to say I meditate.
