Liquid lipsticks are to the Internet what Pokémon Go is to mobile gaming. In other worlds, everything. Beauty tastemakers from Kylie Jenner to Huda Kattan have singlehandedly changed the lip color game by popularizing the liquefied alternative. And now vloggers are using it beyond the lips...as in for the rest of the face.
19-year old Shani Grimmond is the latest to make liquid lipsticks a universal beautifier, undergoing the "challenge" in a 7-minute video.
"So the rule is you can only use liquid lipsticks," she explains. "Let me start by telling you I pretty much only have pinks, oranges, and reds. I have two skin tone shades so I don't know how this is going to work."
Grimmond starts off by using a nude-colored shade all over the face. She then proceeds to swipe on a pinky nude as a blush to sculpt her cheeks and an even lighter, frostier pink Kylie Lip Kit shade to highlight. For the eyes, she used a shimmery bronze on the lids and a burgundy hue underneath the waterlines.
Thanks to some next-level blending with makeup brushes, she's able to make it all look impressively fluid and flattering. To finish the look, she painted her lips with, you guessed it, a nude.
As if the final result wasn't impressive enough, Grimmond revealed in the comment section that it, surprisingly, wasn't hard to get off. This said, we'll leave this technique to the bloggers...
