Lily Allen has already hailed Miley Cyrus a "fearless bitch," but now she's heaping even more praise on the brazen pop star. In a new interview with Billboard, Allen likens Cyrus to two of the UK's biggest rock bands.
"I saw it at the O2 in London [in May], and I'm not exaggerating when I say it's one of the best shows that I've seen in years," said Allen. "It's up there with an Oasis show or the Stone Roses or something. It's kind of incredible to watch -- she's a real force. There's no two ways about it, she's meant to be up there doing that."
And it's more than just the music, Allen is also enraptured by her on-and-off-stage charisma.
"She's incredible, and she has such a presence. Her personality is what shines through. I'm not close to Miley, I don't know her very well, but I feel proud of her."
Anyone familiar with Allen and Cyrus knows they're both no strangers to drastic transformations, even if it means raising a few (or, like a billion) eyebrows. The Sheezus singer realizes that growing up a Disney star raises the stakes.
"It must have been very tough for her to make that transition from the Disney star of 'Hannah Montana' into herself, essentially. People don't really like change in this day and age, and not only has she succeeded in changing her complete persona, but she's done it in an in-your-face way, which I love. I'm all for that kind of stuff." We know Lily, we know.
