The Duchess of Cambridge has canceled her weekend trip to Malta—which would have marked her first solo getaway as a royal—due to morning sickness. Clarence House announced the news in a series of tweets (modern!) this morning, "The Duchess of Cambridge will no longer visit Malta this weekend. The Duke of Cambridge will undertake the visit instead...HRH continues to suffer from Hyperemesis Gravidarum. The decision was taken on the advice of doctors," they stated.

Though Prince William is a fine substitute, we're sad to miss the opportunity to ogle KMidd's glorious hair, see her reveal some more of her secret skills, and, obviously, check out her new pregnancy style on this trip.

This news wouldn't have come as such a blow if Harry hadn't just done something to completely skewer our already wounded hearts on Monday. At the closing ceremony of the Invictus Games, the Prince committed an act of heroism of the cutest degree: After seeing five-year-old Isabelle Nixon in tears because she couldn't see the stage thanks to all those pesky tall people in front of her, Prince Harry hoisted her onto his shoulders, so she could watch the Foo Fighters perform.
