Update, 3/14/21: The Grammys E! Red Carpet aired on Sunday, and we spotted something that could potentially be majorpaired with an exquisite orange satin gown, Thee Stallion wore a massive diamond ring on THAT finger. And I have questions. Is this an engagement ring, Megan? Or just a fun suggestion from your stylist? A red herring perhaps? I will stand by for any and all updates!

Original post: Our resident Hot Girl is taken. That’s right guys and gals, my favorite rapper Megan Thee Stallion is officially off the market. Back in February, the 26-year-old “Cry Baby” rapper announced on Instagram Live that she was dating someone new: Pardison “Pardi” Fontaine. My condolences to all those who have been simping on the internet.

In an effort to defend her man from trolls, Megan opened up about her relationship with Pardi on IG Live. "People don't know what the hell they talking about, they just be saying anything. I didn't like what they was trying to say about Pardi 'cause he is so calm and so sweet," Megan said on the livestream.

“Yeah, he my boyfriend,” she confirmed. "I never said hot girls can’t have boyfriends.” So, what do we know about Megan’s new beau?

Pardison is a rapper and Grammy-nominated songwriter who has collaborated with Cardi B, Kanye West.

Fontaine released his first single “Oyyy” in 2013. Although he’s spent ample time as a ghostwriter for Kanye West, Cardi B, Lil Nas X and even Ed Sheeran, his most successful solo project is his 2018 hit with Cardi B, “Backin’ It Up.” The song peaked at number 18 on the Billboard Hot 100, and established Pardison as a force in his own right. In 2019, he released his first album, UNDER8ED.

In addition to his numerous credits on Cardi B’s Invasion of Privacy and West’s Ye, Pardi was nominated for two Grammy Awards and even performed at the BET Awards. In an interview with Billboard, he said that he hopes to maintain authenticity in the songwriting process and not rush for results or recognition: “My music is so tailored off of actual experiences,” he said, “that it takes me some living to come up with the content.”

Most recently, Fontaine co-wrote the Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion’s smash hit “WAP” and Megan’s first chart-topper, “Savage.”

He and Cardi B are each other’s fans.

Pardi and Cardi first met in 2013 at a gentlemen’s club in Mount Vernon, New York, where he learned that Cardi was a fan of his song “Oyyy.”

“Every time we work together, it’s amazing,” Pardi told People in an interview for the magazine. “I decided she was going to be my home girl. So, it was like a perfect match.”

“She’s really passionate about her music, you know what I’m saying? She takes a lot of time to do things right. Repetition, repetition — she wants everything to come out perfect. She’s a real perfectionist with it all and a real hard worker, too.”

Fontaine started rapping in the 7th grade.

In an interview with People following the release of his record UNDER8ED, Fontaine told the magazine that he started rapping in the 7th grade. As the story goes, another kid asked Fontaine to “get on this song” with him. Luckily for Fontaine, he had a little Talkboy recorder, or what he called “little Macaulay Culkin walkman where you could record yourself.”

“He gave me this beat and I wrote a little verse to it and that was the first time I ever rapped,” Pardi told People. “That was like, ‘All right, I can do this.’ That was my real intro.”

His government name is not Pardison.

The 31-year-old rapper was born Jordyn Kyle Lanier Thorpe. He grew up in the Hudson Valley town of Newburg, New York.

Pardison Fontaine was inspired by Back to the Future and the Anne Fontaine store.

Pardi told People that his stage name was inspired by Marty McFly from Back to the Future. He wanted to riff off the name Marty, so he chose Pardi, which eventually led him to...Pardi McFly.

“Then, I thought to myself, ‘JAY-Z is not going to do a song with somebody named Pardi McFly,’” Pardi told the magazine. “So, I just dropped the McFly and I kept the Pardi.”

I agree, Pardi...glad you dropped the McFly!

Anyway, the “Fontaine” surname comes from his time working at Saks Fifth Avenue. He first saw the word “Fontaine” when walking past the “Anne Fontaine” boutique and thought the name must have some significance. After doing his research, he learned that there was a 17th century poet and fabulist named Jean de la Fontaine. Inspired by the tradition of storytelling within the name, Pardison Fontaine’s MySpace page debuted in 2009.

    He has a four-year-old daughter.

Pardi’s daughter Jordy Jr. was born in November 2016 who is just adorable! He’s posted her on his Instagram loads of times, they’re so cute!

Megan and Pardi shared a lavish Valentine’s Day together.

In pictures posted to Instagram, Fontaine revealed that he treated Megan to a rose-filled private flight, a three-course meal from a private chef, and a bedroom full of flowers. Honestly, this kind of treatment is the minimum of what our hot girl evangelist deserves.
