Lupita Nyong'o Heads To Sesame Street To Share An Important Message

Oscar winner and former Marie Claire cover girl Lupita Nyong'o has a new co-star—one you're undoubtedly familiar with: Elmo. The seriously stunning actress made a guest appearance on Sesame Street this week, and the two tackled a serious subject—race—in a wonderful way. Nyong'o is explaining the concept of skin to a furry Elmo, who notes that "Miss Lupita's skin is a beautiful brown color." In response, Nyong'o says "That's the thing I love most about skin, Elmo. Skin comes in lots of beautiful shades and colors."

Nyong'o and Elmo's message is simple enough to be digested by even the youngest of audiences, but it rings true for people of all ages: To love the skin you're in, no matter the hue. Watch the full clip below.
