"Just Ignorance": Kate Mara and Michael B. Jordan Discuss the Racist Interview from Hell

Update, 8/4: Gracious famous people Kate Mara and Michael B. Jordan continue to take the high road, climbing farther and farther away from the racist, sexist 29,384-car pileup that was their recent interview with Southside Steve.

"Sometimes journalists use that room as a safety net to kind of say whatever they want and ask questions that they would never normally ask you outside of that room," said Jordan during an appearance on HuffPost Live. "As actors, sometimes we feel the pressure to always say what you're supposed to and kind of put your best foot forward promoting the film. We don't want to bring any negativity towards the positive message and what we're actually there to do."

So that's why, after Mara deemed the DJ's questions "just ignorance," they're just going to let it go. "We're still people. We're still human," Jordan said. "So, that kind of bothers us. At the end of the day, we don't want to bring the attention to ignorance, and we always take the high road on these things and move forward, you know?"

Original story, 8/3: Hot tip: Bookmark this page. When you feel bad, pull it out to remind yourself that even if you're having the worst day ever, you don't have to answer questions from these clowns.

On the heels of Cara Delevingne's trial by patronizing morning-show host, Fantastic Four costars Michael B. Jordan and Kate Mara recently suffered the racist and sexist questions of two Atlanta DJs to whom the concepts of adoption and changing one's appearance because one is an actor are both foreign.

"You're white and you're black. How does that happen?" Yahoo #1 asked even after Mara had pointed out her character Sue Storm was adopted. "They could be raised as brother and sister," Jordan said. "There's a whole bunch of family dynamics that could be without the obvious adoption."

That's not even the worst part. After they grilled Mara about her pixie, told her never to cut it again because she was way hotter with long hair, *then* made a gross joke about her feet, they said this to BuzzFeed: "Steve likes girl's toes. People should be appreciative when they get complimented."

Ban Steve. Ban that other dude. Still watch the interview below because it's just so disastrous.
