Update, 8/22: After several *super* rude visitors at Madame Tussauds Las Vegas violated Nicki Minaj's wax figure, the museum has issued a statement regarding the situation.

"It is unfortunate that this visitor decided to behave so inappropriately and we apologize for any offense this has caused," Madame Tussauds explained in a statement to The Guardian. "We do have staff monitoring guest behavior in the attraction and do our utmost to ensure our wax figures are treated respectfully, but on this occasion clearly one of our hosts was not present."

The company also added that the rapper's exhibit would be redesigned so that patrons won't have the opportunity to take anymore inappropriate pics. While the figure will remain on all fours (#SMH), heightened security has been promised for her Minajesty.

Original story, 8/19:Proving once again that this is why we can't have nice things, rogue visitors at Madame Tussauds Las Vegas have been defiling Nicki Minaj's wax figure, which was unveiled earlier this month.

The waxwork, based on the singer's record-breaking "Anaconda" video, has been called disrespectful and problematic, most notably by rapper Azealia Banks.

    AND SHE WAS RIGHT.

Warning: This next photo might be uncomfortable for anyone who doesn't want to see an immature clown simulating a sex act on a wax effigy.

Minaj herself has been supportive of her depiction—according to this document outlining the figure-making process, she would have sat and been measured for it—sharing multiple Instagrams of the statue, even one of fans groping it.

In any case, Madame Tussauds has issued a statement both denouncing the photo (we all know which one) and promising to tighten security.

    Nice work, humanity. 🙅
