Prince William's Recent Heroics Will Make You Love Him Even More Than You Already Do

If you're ever in need of a knight in shining armor, here's proof Prince William is your man. The duke came to the rescue of an elderly dignitary during the royal couple's latest public engagement on Friday morning, in what can only be described as a heroic gesture. What else would you expect from the heir to the British throne?

William and Kate were visiting the Stewards Academy in Essex, England, to see how children's mental health charity Place2Be works with students at the high school.

Shortly after they were welcomed to the academy by Lord Lieutenant Jonathan Douglas-Hughes, the Queen's representative in the county, well wishers were left in shock when the 72-year-old took a horrible tumble backwards.

Fortunately, the dignitary was okay, but the Prince was quick to react—and like a true gentleman, he rushed over to help Mr. Douglas-Hughes back to his feet.

Was William disturbed by the dramatic incident? Of course he wasn't. The Daily Mail reports the Lord Lieutenant turned to William and said, "Sorry about that," before the Prince casually replied "No, it's all right."

Kate, who was dressed in a polka dot dress by Altuzarra, appeared to be a more stunned by the man's fall, and watched on as her ever capable prince handled the situation brilliantly.

Once William's heroic efforts were complete, the couple headed inside the school to chat to pupils and parents about the emotional support they receive from the Place2Be charity.
