Amber Rose Opened Up About Feeling Body Shamed by Julianne Hough on 'DWTS'

Amber Rose is beautiful, curvy, and oh-so-sexy, but after her "Booty" salsa on Dancing With the Stars, she felt body shaming first-hand. She says the shaming comments came courtesy of DWTS judge Julianne Hough.

The star opened up about the incident on her latest Loveline With Amber Rose episode, saying, "Last night was like, they did the commentary, and I, it was a point in the dance where I had to lift my leg up and Maks dipped me [Julianne] said, 'Oh, I'm uncomfortable,' and instantly I felt, I did feel body shamed."

Rose went on to speculate that Hough was uncomfortable with her curves.

"You know, all the beautiful professional dancers that are on Dancing With the Stars, I mean they dress very sexy and they do the splits and they grind up on these guys and they look absolutely stunning and get a standing ovation," she said. "And me, and my body, my hips, my ass, my breasts made her uncomfortable."

For her part, Hough weighed in on the issue, explaining to People that she never had any intention of body shaming Rose or any other contestants, for that matter.

"My comments were solely reacting to the quality of the dance I was judging," she said. "I have been a strong proponent of female empowerment and an anti-bullying advocate for years and I take that very seriously. Any kind of body shaming is the furthest thing from who I am and what I stand for."

Thankfully, this sounds like an issue of poor communication, but regardless, Rose isn't letting it knock her off her game. According to People, Rose and her pro partner, Maksim Chmerkovskiy, are ready to get back in it in a big way for their upcoming tango.

"Amber is really embracing her body this week and dancing a really sexy Argentine tango," a source told the magazine.

We're definitely glad Amber will continue to embrace her curves this season on DWTS (and, in life, we're sure).
