Leonardo DiCaprio Met with Trump to Convince Him That the Environment Matters

You know when the Titanic was sinking, and Rose refused to let Jack on her raft? Well the Titanic is America, Trump is Rose, and Leonardo DiCaprio is (as usual) Jack.

The actor recently attempted to climb aboard Trump's proverbial raft (no, this metaphor shows no signs of ending) to convince him that the environment is important—which is amusing considering Trump's cabinet includes a climate change denier.

According to the Associated Press, DiCaprio met with Trump and his buddies on Wednesday. Here's what happened:

"Today, we presented the President-elect and his advisors with a framework—which LDF [Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation] developed in consultation with leading voices in the fields of economics and environmentalism—that details how to unleash a major economic revival across the United States that is centered on investments in sustainable infrastructure," LDF CEO Terry Tamminen said. "Our conversation focused on how to create millions of secure, American jobs in the construction and operation of commercial and residential clean, renewable energy generation."

Apparently, Trump was open to hearing Leo's thoughts and feels, suggested another meeting in the future, and even took home a copy of Before the Flood. Which, sure. Why not.

In conclusion, you know times are dire when Leonardo DiCaprio is our only hope.
