9:05 p.m. The next day the group is introduced to Mayor Bloomberg who announces that New York City will be the inspiration for the next challenge. Tim tells them that they will have the biggest budget of the season—$500.

9:10 p.m. Michael chooses the Statute of Liberty as is muse (toge, anyone?) and Gretchen says she feels under inspired by the New York City challenge. What?

9:11p.m. Did Tim just say at least one of the designers will go home.

9:17 p.m. Mondo decides to take a nap during the penultimate challenge before the finale. Interesting way to spend designing time.

9:20 p.m. The designers seem to be loosing it a little. Gretchen criticizes Andy for designing with "just a side of slut." Then Andy admits that his design looks like he gave "birth to a Chinese prostitute." It would appear that the pressure is getting to that final five.

9:27 p.m. Tim tells Michael C. his design is a "tortured mess". And then admonishes Andy to stay away from slutty, saying that the final look should not seem like something the The Real Housewives of New Jersey would wear.

9:36 p.m. Gretchen is on fire with the catty remarks tonight, having said that she can't tell if Michael C. is and idiot savant or just and idiot. Ouch.

9:42 p.m. So far almost every designer seems to be a little lost with their looks, the designs are over the place — sequins, houndstooth, so many way this could go wrong.

9:45 p.m. The designers meet with their models on last time. Now, runway time!

9:48 p.m. The group call Michael C's look "sexual" while a couple of the other looks border on dominatrix.Sex seems to be the theme on the night. Lots of black, lots of texture.

9:52 p.m. Andy says he was inspired by Central Park. Michael Kors thinks it was Blade Runner. Nina complimented Andy on the "wet" look.

9:57 p.m. Gretchen gets slammed because her look is too "mid-town." And then she cries, again. April gets ripped by the judges for repeating the same look, and amazingly Michael C. pulls off an amazing dress which garners praises from all judges.

10:04 p.m. The designers are grilled by the judges on who should and shouldn't go to fashion week and why. Every one of the last five gets at least one shout out from their competitors.

10:14 p.m. The Judges are loving Michael C. tonight. it's nice to see the underdog getting his due. Gretchen and April are getting the harshest comments. Guest judge Christian Siriano turns out to be a very forgiving judge.

10:19 p.m. Heidi says that one designer will go home. The tension builds.

10:23 p.m.Michael is the first contestant declared safe by the judges! Mondo and Andy soon follows. One of the girls is going home.

10:27 p.m.Gretchen will be going to Lincoln Center and April goes home. Ok kids, get ready for fashion week — only three of the four will be showing. See you next week.
