This is Selling Sunset, our latest TV obsession, brought to us courtesy of Netflix. It stars longtime soap star-turned-real estate mogul Chrishell Hartney, née Chrishell Stause, along with other members of the Oppenheim Group.
If you're getting "Lauren Conrad takes on the world of fashion" vibes from the docusoap, you're absolutely on the right path—Selling Sunset is the brainchild of Adam Divello, the same genius responsible for bringing us The Hills. The show follows the professional and personal lives of the Oppenheim Group, a team of well-dressed and super successful real estate agents selling luxury properties throughout the Los Angeles area.
Twins Jason and Brett Oppenheim run the show, but even they admit that the efforts of their talented squad are keeping the lights on. Drama ensues when the company, as tight-knit as a group of professionals in the bloodthirsty business of real estate in the Hollywood Hills could possibly be, welcomes new agent (and familiar face) Chrishell Hartley to the fold.
The Oppenheim Group may boast a line up of heavy hitters in its lineup, but newbie Hartley has resumé that's nothing to scoff at. In addition to working as a well-known real estate agent in The Valley, Hartley is also an actress; she's had significant roles in a number of popular soap operas including All My Children, Days of Our Lives, and The Young and the Restless. If she can handle the mistaken identities and daring asylum escapes that are customary in the soap world, we know Hartley can definitely hold her own against any workplace cattiness on Selling Sunset.
