We're never going to stop wishing for a Clueless sequel, but we'll certainly take solace in a cast reunion while we cool our heels.
Nineteen years later, a portion of the cast has reunited, with Alicia Silverstone, Stacey Stash, and Eliza Donovan joining the film's director, Amy Heckerling, at a screening of the 1995 classic during the L.A. Film Festival. Also on hand was the film's costume designer, Mona May, who you can thank for the plaid jackets, pleated mini-skirts, and knee-high socks that characterized '90s fashion.
During the screening event, the cast reminisced about the heyday of Clueless.
"I thought I was channeling Marilyn Monroe and Lucille Ball," Silverstone told the screening's crowd. "And obviously that wasn't the case," she joked. "But I just felt like that! Especially when I pushed [Elton] off [of me at a house party]," she continued. "Those were the things that I found lovely."
Would it be crazy to call Cher Horowitz the fictional Marilyn Monroe of the '90s? We think not.
"We had so much fun," Dash explained. "[Heckerling] had such a clear vision and she was able to translate it to us perfectly."
