After 23 seasons of The Bachelor, 15 seasons of The Bachelorette, six seasons of Bachelor in Paradise, and three seasons of Bachelor Pad, as well as Bachelor Winter Games, it's a little shocking to know that only 18 of those couples are still together. Some never made it to After the Final Rose, some dated for a few months, and some... well, some got dumped on national television (sorry, Becca!) Here, read about the fates of all the Bachelor (and the various Bachelor iterations) couples from the first seasons to the most recent.

    Alex Michel Amanda Marsh

    Alex Michel Amanda Marsh

The first season of The Bachelor didn't end with a proposal, but it did end with Michel and Marsh in a relationship. The pair dated for nearly a year before Marsh broke up with him for keeping in touch with runner-up (and someone you'll see on this list in a bit) Trista Rehn. Marsh married her childhood friend, Jay Caldwell, and they have a daughter named Chloe.

    Aaron Buerge Helene Eksterowicz

    Aaron Buerge Helene Eksterowicz

Buerge and Eksterowicz broke up after several weeks—according to Eksterowicz, she was "dumped at a Starbucks." Buerge married Angye McIntosh in 2009 and they have a daughter named Aven, and Eksterowicz married tech consultant Andrew Goodman in 2013 and they have a son together and live in New Jersey.

    Trista Rehn Ryan Sutter

    Trista Rehn Ryan Sutter

Rehn and Sutter were married on national television on December 6, 2003, and are still together after 15 years. They have two children, Max (born in 2007), and Blakesley (born in 2009). Truly #couplegoals.

    Andrew Firestone Jen Schefft

    Andrew Firestone Jen Schefft

Schefft and Firestone broke up after several months together, but they remained friends. He married actress Ivana Bozilovic, and they have three children, while Schefft went on to become The Bachelorette. We'll get to her in a bit.

    Bob Guiney Estella Gardinier

    Bob Guiney Estella Gardinier

Another case where the show didn't end with a proposal. Guiney offered Gardinier a promise ring with an agreement to date after the show ended, but they wound up breaking up after the show aired. Guiney later married Rebecca Budig, but they split in 2010. In 2016, he later married Jessica Canyon. Gardinier appears to be single, working as a fitness instructor in California.

    Meredith Phillips Ian McKee

    Meredith Phillips Ian McKee

McKee and Phillips broke up a year after the finale of their season aired in 2005. Phillips married her high school boyfriend in 2011; McKee seems to be single.

    Jesse Palmer Jessica Bowlin

    Jesse Palmer Jessica Bowlin

Palmer didn't propose to Bowlin, much like Bob Guiney and Alex Michel. The pair dated, but broke up shortly after the show aired. Bowlin married Omar Rawi and has two children, and Palmer got engaged to his girlfriend, model Emely Fardo, in July 2019.

    Byron Velvick Mary Delgado

    Byron Velvick Mary Delgado

Pro Bass fisherman Velvick and Tampa Bay Buccaneers cheerleader Delgado dated for five years before they called off their engagement. Velvick married a hospice owner named Belinda and they have a child together, while Delgado, who has had a few run-ins with the law, married her husband in Cuba.

    Jen Schefft Jerry Ferris

    Jen Schefft Jerry Ferris

Technically, Schefft and Ferris broke up on the live After the Final Rose special. Schefft turned down Ferris's proposal, saying the chemistry wasn't there. She got married in 2009, and has two daughters, while Ferris is also married with a son.

    Charlie O'Connell Sarah Brice

    Charlie O'Connell Sarah Brice

O'Connell didn't propose in the end, but he and Brice dated on-and-off from 2005 to 2010. Brice has three children with Brandt Calver, and O'Connell married Playboy Playmate Anna Sophia Berglund in 2018.

    Travis Stork Sarah Stone

    Travis Stork Sarah Stone

Stork and Stone broke up shortly after the finale aired. Stork married pediatrician Charlotte Brown in 2012, but they divorced in 2015; Stork married Parris Stork in 2019. You can also see him on The Doctors. Stone married Brock Smith, and they have three daughters together.

Stork and Stone broke up shortly after the finale aired. Stork married pediatrician Charlotte Brown in 2012, but they divorced in 2015; Stork married Parris Stork in 2019. You can also see him on The Doctors. Stone married Brock Smith, and they have three daughters together.

    Andy Baldwin Tessa Horst

    Andy Baldwin Tessa Horst

Baldwin did propose to Horst, but they wound up calling off their engagement a month after the finale of their season aired, yet continued to date until September 2007. Horst is now married to Tom Pickard and they have a son together.

    Matt Grant Shayne Lamas

    Matt Grant Shayne Lamas

Grant proposed to Lamas, but they wound up ending things in July 2008 because they felt their lives were going in different directions. Lamas married Nik Richie, founder of gossip website TheDirty.com, and they have two children together. Grant is now married to Rebecca Moring.

    Deanna Pappas Jesse Csincsak

    Deanna Pappas Jesse Csincsak

Pappas was the first Bachelorette following a three-year long hiatus for the franchise. She accepted a proposal from Csincsak in the show's season finale. They had set a wedding date for May 9, 2009, but broke up in November 2008. According to Csincsak, Pappas said, "I love you, but I'm not in love with you." Ouch. Pappas married Stephen Stagliano, twin brother of Bachelorette season 5 contestant Michael Stagliano, and they have two children. Csincsak also married within the Bachelor family, settling down with Bachelor season 13 contestant Ann Lueders after meeting at a reunion show. They have three children together.

    Jason Mesnick Melissa Rycroft

    Jason Mesnick Melissa Rycroft

In one of the most dramatic moments in Bachelor history, Jason Mesnick called off his engagement to Melissa Rycroft after he changed his mind and decided to pursue a relationship with runner-up Molly Malaney. Don't forget—he also did this live on national television. It all worked out, though: Mesnick and Malaney got married in 2010 with an ABC special, and have two children together. Rycroft won the 15th season of Dancing with the Stars, married Tye Strickland, and has three children.

    Jillian Harris Ed Swiderski

    Jillian Harris Ed Swiderski

Harris, the first Canadian bachelorette, accepted Swiderski's proposal in the season finale, but they broke up a year after their finale aired. Swiderski is married to Natalie Bomke, while Harris has two children with fiancé Justin Pasutto.

    Jake Pavelka Vienna Girardi

    Jake Pavelka Vienna Girardi

Noted for being one of the most messy and public breakups in Bachelor history, Pavelka and Girardi ended their relationship in September 2010. Pavelka remains single and has been seen on many a reality television show, while Girardi is engaged to marry Todd Allen, a race car driver.

    Ali Fedotowsky Roberto Martinez

    Ali Fedotowsky Roberto Martinez

Fedotowsky accepted Martinez's proposal and offered him her final rose, but they wound up breaking up a year after their season aired. Fedotowsky married television and radio host Kevin Manno in 2017, and they have two children.

    Brad Womack Emily Maynard

    Brad Womack Emily Maynard

Brad Womack was The Bachelor twice, but only proposed once, to future Bachelorette Emily Maynard. (Spoiler alert!) They broke up while their season was airing, but got back together after the season's finale. They eventually called it quits for real in May 2011. Womack has no social media accounts, so there's no clue of what he's up to. We'll get to Maynard in a moment.

    Ashley Hebert J.P. Rosenbaum

    Ashley Hebert J.P. Rosenbaum

These two made it all the way down the aisle! Hebert and Rosenbaum married on December 1, 2012, and their wedding aired as a TV special that year. They have two children, Fordham (born 2014) and Essex (born 2016).

    Holly Durst Blake Julian

    Holly Durst Blake Julian

These two met on Bachelor Pad 2, and got engaged after only knowing each other for a couple of months. Julian had appeared on Ashley Hebert’s season of The Bachelorette, while Durst was a contestant on Matt Grant’s season of The Bachelor. The duo married in June 2012, and they welcomed their first child through adoption in 2019.

    Ben Flajnik Courtney Robertson

    Ben Flajnik Courtney Robertson

The rollercoaster that was Ben-and-Courtney was one for the ages: They broke up while the show was still airing, then got back together and got re-engaged, before ultimately breaking up and calling off their wedding. Robertson wrote a book about her time on The Bachelor called "I Didn't Come Here to Make Friends." She's currently dating Humberto Preciado; Flajnik may still be single.

    Emily Maynard Jef Holm

    Emily Maynard Jef Holm

Maynard and "Jef with one f" got engaged at the end of her season of The Bachelorette. But after a nasty and public cheating scandal, Maynard and Holm broke up in October 2012. Maynard married Tyler Johnson in June 2014, and they have three children. Holm is still single, the last update we heard on his love life was that he was dating public relations executive Hayley Enzor in February 2018

    Sean Lowe Catherine Giudici

    Sean Lowe Catherine Giudici

Underdog Guidici stole Lowe's heart on his season of The Bachelor, and he proposed during the season finale in Thailand. Lowe and Giudici got married in an ABC special on January 26, 2014 and have two sons: Samuel (born 2016) and Isaiah (born 2018). Their Instagram is totally swoon-worthy.

    Desiree Hartsock Chris Siegfried

    Desiree Hartsock Chris Siegfried

Hartsock gave Siegfried her final rose and he gave her an engagement ring. Then, the lovebirds headed down the aisle on January 18, 2015. They live together in Seattle, Washington, with their sons, Asher (born 2016) and Zander (born 2019).

    Juan Pablo Galavis Nikki Ferrell

    Juan Pablo Galavis Nikki Ferrell

Galavis broke with the recent tradition and didn't propose to Ferrell, instead choosing to continue their relationship off-camera. They dated for a few months, even appearing on Couples Therapy, before they decided to call it quits in October 2014. Farrell married Tyler Vanloo in October 2016, and Galavis married former Miss Earth Venezuela Osmariel Villalobos in August 2017.

    Andi Dorfman Josh Murray

    Andi Dorfman Josh Murray

Dorfman accepted Murray's proposal in the season finale, turning down future Bachelor Nick Viall (but more on him later). Dorfman and Murray announced their breakup on January 8, 2015, and Dorfman published a tell-all book about her time on the show and their relationship. She also recently had dinner with her third runner-up Chris Soules (who also shows up in a few slides) but apparently it wasn't romantic. We'll get to Murray in a minute.

    Michelle Money Cody Sattler

Money, a Bachelor and Bachelor Pad alum fell for Sattler, one of Andi Dorfman's suitors, on the first season of Bachelor in Paradise. They announced they were donezo in December 2014, only to get back together in June 2015...only to break up again. They reunited and made an appearance on Marriage Boot Camp, but it wasn't enough to save the relationship for a third and final time. Now, they're both dating other people.

    Chris Soules Whitney Bischoff

    Chris Soules Whitney Bischoff

The season ended with Soules getting on one knee and proposing to Bischoff, but they announced they were calling off their engagement two months after their season finished airing, in May 2015. Bischoff is now married to Ricky Angel, and Soules uses his Bachelor fame to partner with charities like No Kid Hungry.

    Kaitlyn Bristowe Shawn Booth

    Kaitlyn Bristowe Shawn Booth

Bristowe and Booth got engaged in the July 2015 finale of her season of The Bachelorette and looked like they were going to make it. The Canadian dancer and personal trainer were engaged for three years before breaking up in November 2018. Bristowe is now dating Jason Tartick from Becca Kufrin's season.

    Jade Roper Tanner Tolbert

    Jade Roper Tanner Tolbert

They got hitched! Less than four months after Tanner gave Jade both his final rose and a Neil Lane ring on the season finale of the second season of Bachelor In Paradise, Roper and Tolbert walked down the aisle in front of family, friends, and the rest of Bachelor Nation on January 24, 2016 in a live ceremony. They welcomed their first child, a daughter named Emerson, on August 17, 2017, and now have a son too—Roper made headlines when she accidentally gave birth in her own closet.

    Jared Haibon Ashley Iaconetti

    Jared Haibon Ashley Iaconetti

It was a real journey for these two, but at least it had a happy ending! They met on Bachelor in Paradise in 2015, and dated and broke up on Paradise in 2016. They got together after years of being on and off, and got engaged on Paradise in 2018.The now-happy couple got married in August 2019 with a predictably OTT wedding and many Bachelor alums in attendance.

    Samantha Steffen Nick Peterson

    Samantha Steffen Nick Peterson

The duo didn't leave Paradise engaged, but they did decide to leave together in the show's second season finale in 2015. Unfortunately, they parted ways amicably in October 2015. Steffen is single at the moment, and Peterson's Instagram bio reads "Still a bachelor doin my thing."

    Cassandra Ferguson Justin Reich

    Cassandra Ferguson Justin Reich

Ferguson and Reich chose to forgo the engagement but left Paradise season 2 in a relationship. It came as a shock to the audience when, on After Paradise, Ferguson revealed that she and Reich had broken up and she was dating Jonathan Holloway, another BIP contestant. That relationship was apparently short-lived, as Ferguson appeared on the 2018 season of Bachelor In Paradise, and Reich's Instagram shows no sign of a partnership.

    Ben Higgins Lauren Bushnell

    Ben Higgins Lauren Bushnell

Higgins and Bushnell's relationship was never far from the cameras: After getting engaged on his season of The Bachelor, Higgins did Dancing with the Stars, and then the two of them had their own reality show called Ben and Lauren: Happily Ever After? The pair officially split in May 2017, and both have been linked with other people. Bushnell got married to country singer Chris Lane in 2019; Higgins is dating Jessica Clarke.

    Jojo Fletcher Jordan Rodgers

    Jojo Fletcher Jordan Rodgers

Rodgers got down on one knee and proposed to Fletcher in the show's 12th season finale, and they are still engaged. They recently dished that they plan to officially tie the knot in 2020 and were waiting on a date from their venue.

    Carly Waddell  Evan Bass

    Carly Waddell  Evan Bass

After some initial reluctance on her end, Waddell fell for Bass hard, and accepted his proposal in the third season finale of Bachelor in Paradise. The couple moved in together in Nashville and got married on Paradise's fourth season premiere. They welcomed daughter Isabella Evelyn in 2018 and son Charles Wolfe in 2019.

    Amanda Stanton Josh Murray

    Amanda Stanton Josh Murray

Stanton fell for Murray on the third season of Bachelor in Paradise, and they left together engaged. Even though there was a bit of controversy involving Murray's ex Andi Dorfman, he moved in with Amanda and her two daughters. After a few months, though, things went south, and they had a very intense and public breakup. A source told E! News that their split occurred "because of his temper." Stanton dated and split with Bobby Jacobs, and Murray is still single.

    Lace Morris Grant Kemp

    Lace Morris Grant Kemp

One of the most volatile and emotional couples on the third season of Bachelor in Paradise, Kemp and Morris left Mexico engaged and with matching "grace" (their couple name) tattoos. They called it quits after three months, in November 2016, though. Kemp later attempted to find love on Bachelor in Paradise: Australia and was last spotted with Katherine Eftekhari, while Morris dated Russell Kunze but looks to be single.

    Nick Viall Vanessa Grimaldi

    Nick Viall Vanessa Grimaldi

Five months after Viall got down on one knee and asked Grimaldi to marry him, they announced they were ending their engagement. The two-time Bachelorette runner up fell hard for the special education teacher, but they couldn't make it work long-term or long-distance. Grimaldi has a new boyfriend, Josh Wolfe (they just moved in together). Nick Viall has been linked to January Jones, Rumer Willis, and (potentially but unconfirmed) Rachel Bilson.

    Rachel Lindsay Bryan Abasolo

    Rachel Lindsay Bryan Abasolo

The first ever black Bachelorette accepted a proposal from Bryan Abasolo in the show's 13th season finale, and the pair got married in Cancun, Mexico in August 2019—two years after getting engaged.

    Taylor Nolan Derek Peth

    Taylor Nolan Derek Peth

A solid relationship throughout their entire tenure on Bachelor in Paradise, it came as no surprise when Peth got down on one knee at the Paradise fourth season reunion to ask Taylor to be his wife. One year later, however, the couple announced they were separating. Nolan's just broken up with someone and said she'd consider reconciling with Peth. Peth fell for Demi Burnett on Bachelor in Paradise season 6 (more on her later) but ended up going home alone.

    Raven Gates Adam Gottschalk

    Raven Gates Adam Gottschalk

While they didn't leave Paradise engaged, Gates and Gottschalk are still very much together. Their respective Instagrams show them traveling the world together, and Adam even met Raven's parents during the Paradise reunion taping. In May of this year, Gottschalk proposed, Gates said yes, and the two are apparently planning a (non-televised) wedding.

    Lacey Mark Daniel Maguire

    Lacey Mark Daniel Maguire

They may have left Paradise together, but it wasn't built to last: Mark was convinced she was in love with Maguire, Maguire didn't return the sentiment, and the pair split quickly. That lead to a heated interaction between the two on the Bachelor in Paradise reunion episode.

    Arie Luyendyk Jr. Becca Kufrin

    Arie Luyendyk Jr. Becca Kufrin

Oh, this one is one for the ages. Luyendyk's infamous indecisiveness came to bite him in the rear when he couldn't make up his mind between Lauren Burnham and Becca Kufrin in the show's finale, and wound up going against what his heart wanted (Burnham) and going with his head (Kufrin). He changed his mind after the show's filming wrapped, and what resulted was one of the most cringey finales The Bachelor has ever aired: An unedited, 30-minute breakup between Luyendyk and Kufrin. We'll get to her in a minute, but Luyendyk seems happy with Burnham—they have a child together and apparently want more.

    Ashley Iaconetti Kevin Wendt

    Ashley Iaconetti Kevin Wendt

For the first time, Ashley I. left a Bachelor show in a relationship, leaving Winter Games with Canadian Bachelor contestant Wendt. They only lasted for a few months, though—they each ended up in other Bachelorverse relationships (you've already seen what happened with Iaconetti, and we'll get to Wendt).

    Courtney Sober Lily Mcmanus-Semchyshyn

    Courtney Sober Lily Mcmanus-Semchyshyn

Winter Games exposed the American audience to international Bachelor contestants, including Australian Sober and New Zealander Mcmanus-Semchyshyn. After touring the United States in an RV and documenting their adventures on their Instagram and YouTube pages, they released a statement that they had amicably parted ways.

    Dean Unglert Lesley Murphy

    Dean Unglert Lesley Murphy

Unglert was the hottest commodity on Winter Games, eventually getting paired off with Murphy, who originally competed on Sean Lowe's season of The Bachelor. After dating for four months, the pair were donezo, telling E! News, "Distance and traveling were a factor. They are both going to continue to be friendly and are on good terms, but their romantic relationship has ended." Murphy has gone public with her relationship with Alex Kav, and Unglert will re-appear on this list in just a few slides.

    Luke Pell Stassi Yaramchuk

    Luke Pell Stassi Yaramchuk

This one hurt to watch. They may have left Winter Games together, but it was revealed on the Winter Games reunion special that Pell never even got Yaramchuk's phone number, and he may or may not have...well...ghosted her. Rumor has it, Pell got with his ex-girlfriend from before he even met Yaramchuk but is now dating on-air host Amanda Mertz, and Yaramchuk's apparently living the single life.

    Clare Crawley Benoit Beauséjour-Savard

    Clare Crawley Benoit Beauséjour-Savard

Everyone, and I mean everyone, was shocked at the Winter Games reunion to learn that Crawley and Beauséjour-Savard had reunited after their dramatic breakup on the show. He even got down on one knee to ask Crawley to marry him on the reunion, and she gave an enthusiastic yes. Unfortunately, two months later, the pair called it quits and announced their breakup in a joint Instagram post. They're both still looking for love.

    Becca Kufrin Garrett Yrigoyen

    Becca Kufrin Garrett Yrigoyen

After a season full of controversy, Kufrin and Yrigoyen made it all the way to the final rose ceremony, and she accepted his proposal. They're still together, but haven't set a wedding date aside from saying it's "distant." Good for them!

    Krystal Nielson Chris Randone

    Krystal Nielson Chris Randone

The Bachelor in Paradise duo made it all the way to the final rose ceremony in Mexico, and Randone got down on one knee. Nielson said yes, and they got married in a lavish ceremony on the 2019 season of Bachelor in Paradise. So cute!

    Annaliese Puccini Kamil Nicalek

    Annaliese Puccini Kamil Nicalek

Puccini and Nicalek bonded mid-way through the season of Paradise, and agreed to leave Paradise together. It wasn't long-lived, however—Nicalek blindsided Puccini when he broke up with her in front of their castmates and the rest of America on the Paradise reunion. People booed him, rightfully. One can only hope Puccini finds true love in the end—she went on Bachelor in Paradise in 2019 but ended up going home alone.

    Kevin Wendt Astrid Loch

    Kevin Wendt Astrid Loch

After Wendt broke up with Iaconetti, he met and got together with Loch on Bachelor in Paradise. They didn't end up dating at the end of the season, but they rekindled off the show almost immediately afterwards, and the two got engaged in 2019.

    Joe Amabile Kendall Long

    Joe Amabile Kendall Long

"Grocery Store Joe" and Long are in it for the long haul! Long was initially not terribly sure about Amabile, and he left the show as a result. After the show, Long visited him with a change of heart, and the two are still together. In fact, they've moved in and are talking about a potential engagement!

    Jenna Cooper Jordan Kimball

    Jenna Cooper Jordan Kimball

This one came as a shock to everyone: after a whirlwind romance on Paradise, Kimball and Cooper left Mexico madly in love and ready to get married, even setting a wedding date live in front of the studio audience. However, after the show aired, text messages were leaked implying that Cooper had cheated on Kimball and intended to make him look bad when they eventually did break up in the hopes of getting sympathy from the masses. Cooper claims the texts were faked...by Kimball himself. Kimball ended the engagement, and we may never get to the bottom of this one. He has since moved on to someone new (not a franchise alum) after getting into an infamous fistfight in Paradise season 6.

    Colton Underwood Cassie Randolph

    Colton Underwood Cassie Randolph

It was the fence jump heard 'round the world: Randolph (thanks to influence from producers/her dad) self-eliminated before overnights with Bachelor Underwood. The former football player, who later admitted Randolph was always his number one but he'd never shared that with producers, was so devastated that he ripped off his microphone and jumped a fence. He wandered around Portugal for a bit, then came back, quit the show, and asked Randolph if they could just date, with no engagement. They're still together—and still apparently in love!—despite still not being engaged.

Even if you didn't watch The Bachelorette, you likely know what happened with this doomed couple. Brown selected Wyatt over fan favorite Tyler Cameron, in a move that made fans scream at their TV screens—since it came out while the show was airing that Wyatt had a girlfriend (on whom he was apparently cheating) right up until the moment he started the show. Brown dumped Wyatt on air and asked Cameron out for drinks—but sadly, that didn't pan out either. Brown's been rumored to be dating her DWTS partner Alan Bersten and will show up on Peter Weber's Bachelor season; Wyatt now has a new girlfriend.

In a first for the franchise, Bachelor in Paradise saw its first same-sex couple. Demi Burnett came on the show missing her pre-show girlfriend, and producers brought Haggerty on so viewers could watch their love blossom. It was really sweet, and the couple got engaged at the end of the season. Alas, though, it was not to be—the couple broke up via Instagram before 2019 ended. At least according to their profiles, both are still single.

It was the coupling that confused a lot of people. The surfer bro and the gorgeous phlebotomist made for an odd couple, at first—even Adams was confused about her feelings. But viewers came around to the pairing. Despite Adams and Jones breaking up at the end of Paradise, the two briefly rekindled their relationship post-show before breaking up for good. Both are single.

During Bachelor in Paradise, there were red flags for the couple. Morton lamented the lack of commitment and certainty from Bukowski, who now has the most Bachelor appearances in history. He came out of retirement to do Paradise, and fans really thought he'd found love this time. But alas, in December 2019, the couple posted the split news on Instagram. "We are grateful for everything that we’ve learned in this chapter, and are hopeful for what is to come in life and in love for both of us," they said in a statement.

Hi again, Dean! This semi-unconventional couple is still making it work, despite Unglert living in a van (not by a river, though, to make the SNL reference complete). The two had apparently connected before Bachelor in Paradise and made for a strong pairing, until Unglert decided, on Miller-Keyes' birthday, that he just couldn't be on the show anymore. Then he changed his mind again, shaved off his mustache, and came back to ask Miller-Keyes to leave with him. Since then, the two have been cohabiting "happily," although Unglert says he's never marrying her—ouch.

This is the couple that'll make you believe, if not in true love, then the power of the Bachelorverse to make lasting connections. Barbour fell hard for Godwin on Bachelor in Paradise and, after a brief love triangle with Blake Horstmann, she fell hard for him too. The couple got engaged, stayed engaged (which is way harder), moved in together, and are now planning their wedding. Fans everywhere are rooting for this one to work, and so far everything's looking rosy.
