Personally, I would much rather live in a house with a heated pool rather than one in which Connie Britton was stalked by a dude in a gimp suit—even if it was only for television. But some people might feel this would give a structure more character or value or whatever, like the person who just dropped $3.2 million on American Horror Story's Murder House.
