If you're headed to dine with the royals anytime soon, you can kindly leave your wedges at home thankyouverymuch. Apparently, the Queen is a notorious wedge-hater.

"The Queen isn't a fan of wedged shoes," a source told Vanity Fair. "She really doesn't like them and it's well known among the women in the family."

Indeed, this aversion for heeled platforms (which tend to be favored by those who appreciate some height and the added benefit of not falling on your ass) is well-documented over the years, and got particularly touchy when Kate Middleton began wearing them all over the court. And continues to wear them.
