Chopard Happy Hearts Fund Watch Fashion Gives Back

"When one is fortunate enough to have a life filled with delights, it's essential to think of others," says Chopard copresident and artistic director Caroline Scheufele. It's a belief she also applies to her business. Since 2013, Chopard has worked closely with the Happy Hearts Fund (HHF), a non- profit founded by Scheufele's friend—model Petra Nemcova—that rebuilds schools in areas affected by natural disasters. Nemcova herself narrowly survived the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami during a vacation in Thailand and, through HHF, has since changed the lives of more than 50,000 students by reconstructing 122 schools in nine countries.

Now, as a follow-up to its 2013 Happy Hearts Icon bracelet (from which 17 percent of sales go to sup- port HHF), Chopard is debuting a limited-edition Happy Sport watch that ups the impact with a 20 percent donation. Like the bracelet, the watch features the brand's floating-diamond design, this time with ruby and pink sapphire heart clusters (a nod to HHF's double-heart logo) that move about the face among a sprinkling of unset diamonds. So now keeping up the inspiring effort is as easy as keeping time.
