For Louis Vuitton's latest collaboration, the famed house tapped none other than Swiss contemporary artist Urs Fischer. In lieu of the brand's signature monogram and flower variations, Fischer replaced them with hand-drawn versions, or "memory sketches." The acclaimed artist's revamped and deconstructed take on the monogram is the collection's "key decorative motif."

The fashion house says that Fischer's design is especially noteworthy due to an "exquisite tuffetage treatment that uses velvet-like material to create extra texture and tactile relief." With no detail spared, the collaboration sees the new logo fashioned onto each piece using a mix of different application techniques.

While the line itself spans both ready-to-wear and accessories, the collection is only available in two colorways: black and white, and black and red. However, there are seven special edition bags that LV collectors have to look forward to: a Cabas, Keepall, Onthego, two Neverfulls, Speedys, Pochettes Accessories, and a beauty case.

Whether they're collaborating with a designer or artist, when the house of Vuitton debuts a collection, it always hits the mark. Much like their collaborations with the late Stephen Sprouse, Richard Prince, or Yayoi Kusama, this collection is the perfect marriage of fashion and art.

The new line is available for purchase online and exclusively at Louis Vuitton stores.
