As an avid sneaker collector, I try my collection in top shape. I constantly keep an eye on 2025's biggest sneaker trends and look for the next big under-the-radar brand to bubble up. However, I return to my roots occasionally, which means I rely heavily on the best Nike sneakers in my collection. The brand is a staple for a reason, so I tapped the shopping experts on my team here at Marie Claire to find the very best Nike kicks options on the market.

Nike sneakers are often the fundamental baseline in the collections of every stylish person I know. The brand offers options that cover almost every base in your collection. There are plenty of cool white sneakers like the iconic Air Force ones right alongside black sneaker options that are just as easy to style. There are chunky sneakers with a retro feel, sleek wear-everywhere pairs that double as the best work sneakers, and a few buzzier collabs like the ones with New York-based label Bode and French brand Jaquemus. The result are pairs of designer sneakers that feel wearable for everyday—and that are worth the hype.

Some options on this list come endorsed by so many of my favorite A-listers, cemeting Nike as a bonafide celebrity favortie sneaker brand. Kaia Gerber and Kendall Jenner have worn the same Nike sneakers to the gym in what has become one of my favorite leggings-and-sneakers combinations to date. Jennifer Lopez, a master of high-low dressing, loves to wear a pair of color-blocked Nikes that Emily Blunt has also co-signed.

    The Best Nike Sneakers

    Best All-Around Nike Sneaker
Nike Air Force 1 ‘07 Sneaker
    $115 AT NIKE

We couldn’t not start off with the essential pair of Nike sneakers: the Nike Air Force 1, a true icon in the fashion and footwear worlds. This versatile, durable, and supremely comfortable pick has superseded footwear trends to become a true staple in the footwear collections of fashion lovers everywhere. I, for one, have gone through several pairs in my lifetime. Shop it in the classic all-white version or in an array of other variations like black, white with a teal blue stripe, and white with gold and silver accents.

What We Don't: Some reviewers found they had a break-in period.

    Best High-Top Nike Sneaker
NIke Blazer Mid ‘77 High Top Sneaker
    $105 AT NIKE

The Nike Blazer Mid ‘77 High-Top Sneaker has had a bit of a resurgence over the last few years, proving itself to be a stylish high-top option that’s also comfortable enough to wear all day. Great worn with a slip dress or with a mini skirt, the statement-making shoe is a bold take on the classic Nike sneaker. Plus, the leather upper can be worn super tight to the foot or more open, giving you an array of styling possibilities. I also personally own them and can attest to how comfortable (and durable) they are.

What We Love: Comes in four colors; comes in half-sizes; good for wide feet; Long-lasting.

What We Don't: The lace-up design can take extra time to get them on.

    Nike Classic Cortez Sneaker

    Best Retro Nike Sneaker
    Nike Classic Cortez Sneaker
    $90 AT NIKE

The Nike Cortez sneaker was so beloved in Stranger Things that Nike collaborated with the show to come out with a new green pair back in 2019. In any case, the classic red, white, and blue colorway remains a must-buy for people looking for a touch of retro flair. They’re snug to the foot and lend a polished edge to any ensemble. The red-white-and-blue colorway is the most popular iteration, but you can catch limited-edition versions with each season. The silhouette is also a favorite of Marie Claire's Editor in Chief Nikki Ogunnaike, who counts them as a key part of her personal style staples. Her favorite pair is the Cortez in a mustard yellow hue.

What We Love: Comes in three colors; comes in half-sizes; runs true-to-size; comfortable for long-term wear.

What We Don't: Some reviewers found them unsuitable for wide feet.

    Best Sleek Nike Sneaker
    Nike Court Vision Low Sneaker
    $75 AT NIKE

There are those super chunky sneakers you love to wear when you want to make a major impact, and then there are slender, easier, sneakers that are more low-profile that you wear every single day. These all-white and ‘80s-inspired Court Vision Low Sneakers from Nike are definitely in the latter category. Available in all-white or seven other colorful combinations, this pair of low-rise sneakers won’t draw too much attention to themselves in a good way. Don’t forget to wear them with your most colorful pair of socks.

What We Love: Comes in three colors; comes in half-sizes; top-rated; runs true-to-size; comfortable for wearing all day.

What We Don't: Some reviewers found them not suitable for wide feet.

    Number of Colors: Three

The Nike Air VaporMax Flyknit sneakers from Nike is an investment at $210, yes, but the bubble soles lend to just how comfortable these will be to wear. The stretchy knit upper material also moves with you for a weightless feeling as you go. I’m personally obsessed.

What We Love: Comes in nine colors; comes in half-sizes; lightweight design; made with 20 percent recycled materials by weight; comfortable for long-term wear; runs true-to-size; great for running.

What We Don't: Some reviewers say the insoles are uncomfortable, but they are removable.

They come in three colors and are outfitted with details that promise all-day comfort, like a super lightweight design. One glowing reviewer said, "This is the only Nike shoe that feels like it has actual arch support," so you know you'll be able to wear them for hours on end. They come recommended by Marie Claire's Culture Writer, Quinci Legardye, who says she has owned them for almost a decade.

What We Love: Editor-approved; comes in three colors; comes in half-sizes; top-rated; good for long-distance runs; has arch support; lightweight feel; runs true-to-size.
