I’m Elevating My Sleepwear With These Polished Pajama Sets

They're chic enough to wear beyond the bedroom.

It’s currently 20 degrees in New York City. Yes, you read that correctly. The sidewalks in my neighborhood are coated in contaminated piles of slush, and icicles are falling on just about every street corner. So, naturally, all I want to do is snuggle under a heap of cashmere blankets in a cozy pair of pajamas.

Although my sleepwear wardrobe is already filled with PJs, I’m specifically looking to elevate my collection with sets that are so chic, they can practically cosplay as daytime clothes. Why? Well, nothing says put-together quite like a matching two-piece you can snooze in and, if you need to, step out to grab your morning coffee in. Think: silk co-ords you can style with trench coats and high-vamp flats as soon as the snow melts and flowers begin to sprout, and breezy cotton separates with bathing suits and flip-flops in the summertime.

Yes, pajamas can indeed be worn outside. This look is proof.

Luckily, I know exactly where to find the most elegant pajamas—for example, Eberjey is beloved for its classic sets and loungewear, while Eres offers designer options cut from lace-trimmed silk fabric. From affordable labels to luxury alternatives, the market is overflowing with polished PJs that blend comfort and fashion.
