Aritzia Is Making a Very Convincing Case for a Softer Fall
These pieces are going straight into my autumnal rotation.
Fall dressing doesn’t necessarily need to arrive with a hard reset. Aritzia’s latest arrivals are leaning into something softer: languid layers, tactile knits, and feminine silhouettes that feel pulled-together without requiring much effort. Scarf-wrap tops bring a little romance to everyday dressing, while plush cashmere cardigans and slouchy V-necks make a persuasive argument for building an outfit around comfort, preferably the sort that still looks intentional when you leave the house. Chicness and comfort can co-exist!
There’s structure in the mix, too, which keeps all that softness from veering into loungewear territory. Supple leather bomber jackets add weight to fluid pleated skirts, while cozy knitwear looks especially good against sharper, more substantial textures. It’s an appealing fall formula: something sumptuous, something feminine, and something with just enough edge to make the whole thing interesting.
If I were you, the pieces below, from double-faced wool coats to smartly tailored pencil skirts, are the ones I’d add to cart before they sell out.
