Even Minimalists Can Wear Spring 2026’s Fringe Trend—These Outfits Prove It

Incorporating the frilly style into your warm-weather wardrobe is easier than you might think.

When I first heard whispers of the fringe trend going viral this season, I was a bit skeptical. I wasn’t convinced that someone like me—a pared-down dresser partial toward clean lines and neutral shades—could fall for frilly pieces of fabric. That is, until I caught a glimpse of the Spring 2026 runways, where designers demonstrated how to wear the style in subtler ways.

Acne Studios embraced fringe with a small black shoulder bag adorned with lengthy tassels. Teamed with a sage-colored blazer and a matching pencil skirt, the bohemian purse championed a corporate attitude. Diotima, on the other hand, took a more playful approach. Designer Rachel Scott paired a strapless feathered top with tailored trousers, grounding the look in a cream-and-white color palette to maintain simplicity. Perhaps my favorite look, though, emerged at Chanel. There, Matthieu Blazy presented a textured set anchored in the label’s new high-vamp pumps (which It girls are currently scrambling to get their hands on).

Intrigued by these looks, I’ve curated a list of runway-inspired fringed outfits that are guaranteed to round out my warm-weather wardrobe this season. From crochet co-ords made for shoreside moments to nine-to-five uniforms for days in the office, these outfits will rise to any occasion.

What’s Chanel’s secret to making fringe look classy? Keep the color palette neutral.

For the Parisian label’s Spring 2026 Couture show, Blazy revealed this polished black-and-white look that will no doubt land a spot on every minimalist’s mood board. Follow Blazy's lead and complete the outfit with a pair of matching two-tone heels.

Have you heard the latest fashion news? Boho is back—and it has been for quite some time. For the past few seasons, the ‘70s-inspired aesthetic has dominated glitzy catwalks, and its resurgence shows no signs of slowing down.

Michael Kors put a contemporary twist on the retro look with a gorgeous chestnut brown dress, embellished with tasseled accessories.

The best way to make a neutral outfit feel more whimsical is by experimenting with texture. Diotima’s Rachel Scott did just that with this unique fringed-and-feathered blouse. To allow the top to do the talking, Scott finished off the rest of the look with simple slacks and heels.

I think I just found my new favorite spring work uniform, thanks to Acne Studios. The fringed black bag seamlessly takes this look from day to night, making it an ideal desk-to-drinks outfit.
