    Nike is challenging people young and old, of every fitness

    level, to get up and run together on one day around the world. More

    specifically, they are looking to have one million runners participate in a 10K

    called the Nike+ Human Race on August 31.

    will benefit three global charities:

    The World Wildlife Fund (WWF)

    Physical 10K races will take place in 25 global markets from

    London to Istanbul to Shanghai and Sao Paulo. In the U.S., they will be hosted

    in Austin, Chicago, New York and L.A. Major musical acts will perform following

    the races in each of those markets including Ben Harper, Fall Out Boy,

    All-American Rejects and Kanye West respectively.

    Those residing outside of physical race markets can join in

    via NikePlus, by registering for

    the race and uploading their 10K run data to nikeplus.com on race day, August

    31.
