Who Is Adam Driver's Wife, Joanne Tucker, the Co-Founder of Arts In The Armed Forces?

Over the past decade, you've probably seen Adam Driver on your screen a few times. Whether it was as Lena Dunham's on-and-off again boyfriend Adam Sackler in HBO's Girls or as Kylo Ren in the Star Wars franchise, the actor has become a household name over the past half-decade. And anyone who was unfamiliar with Driver know him now, thanks to Noah Baumbach's buzzy new Netflix film Marriage Story.
Driver's performance alongside Scarlett Johansson earned him the second Academy Award nomination of his career. Along with the Oscar nom, this award show season he has also received a Golden Globe, a SAG, and a BAFTA nomination for his portrayal of Charlie in the film.

Driver and Tucker met at Juilliard.

As for some roles you may have seen Tucker in, she's had a cameo in Girls and in Showtime's Billions. She's also starred alongside her beau in the 2019 film The Report, and has been in some off-Broadway productions.
The couple married in 2013 in a top-secret ceremony.
The duo don't mess around when it comes to privacy (neither Driver and Tucker have any social media accounts), so it makes sense that they would have a destination wedding ceremony away from wandering eyes.
It's reported that Driver's co-star Lena Dunham and her then-boyfriend Jack Antonoff were some of the lucky guests that got to attend the super-private ceremony. A Girls source at the wedding told Us Weekly: "They both love theater and the arts. She respects him so much…Everyone on the show is very happy for them."
Driver told Broadway.com that the 36-year-old New Yorker made him into a city boy. "She taught me what Gouda cheese is," he said. "And that you shouldn't talk with your mouth full and spit on the sidewalk."

They have a son that no one knew about for two years.
Again, the couple does not play around when it comes to privacy! While many famous couples have been able to hide the new addition to their family for a couple of months, Driver and Tucker take the cake of keeping their three-year-old son secret for two years.
In this 2017 video from W Magazine, below, Driver accidentally discussed battling his attention between his dog and his child.
"I look at my dog—this sounds so absurd—but it’s not—I don’t know if I can love anything more. Like, I have a kid, maybe—and be like, ya know, but the dog!” Nice save, dude.
The actor confirmed the addition to their family in October, telling The New Yorker keeping the secret was like a military operation. "My job is to be a spy—to be in public and live life and have experience. But, when you feel like you're the focus, it's really hard to do that."
Along with their three-year-old son, the couple are also parents to a Rottweiler-Pitbull mix named Moose.
They co-founded a nonprofit together.
Inspired by Driver's time as a Marine, the couple founded Arts in the Armed Forces in 2006. The organization brings free artistic experiences to active duty service members, veterans, and their families to entertain and start conversations about the arts. Tucker serves as the artistic director for the organization.
"It's [aim is] to bring thought-provoking theater-based troop entertainment to an audience that wouldn't normally be associated with theater," Driver told The Guardian in 2015.
