NSYNC and the Backstreet Boys Are Fighting Zombies Together in a New Movie

In a surefire sign that our '90s nostalgia has taken a turn for the bizarre, various members of beloved '90s boy bands Backstreet Boys, NSYNC, 98 Degrees, and O-Town will be starring in an upcoming Syfy channel original movie. The 2-hour film is called Dead 7 and takes place in a post-apocalyptic Wild West that is plagued by zombies. The only thing that can stop them is some gunslinging singers and dancers who are larger than life. (Naturally.)

While the film won't feature all of the original casts (though we can keep our fingers crossed for a JT cameo), you will get to see  Backstreet Boys' Nick Carter, AJ McLean, and Howie Dorough, NSYNC's Joey Fatone and
Chris Kirkpatrick, 98 Degrees' Jeff Timmons, and O-Town's Erik-Michael
Estrada, Jacob Underwood, Trevor Penick, and Dan Miller, looking very different from the way you remember in your youth. 

For example, AJ is sporting the whole deranged clown look. 

Joey is doing the whole rugged alcoholic thing. 

And Nick, the hero of the story, has that Indiana Jones vibe going on. 

Because the film is set to premiere on Syfy on April 1, some social media users have theorized that perhaps the whole thing is an elaborate April Fools Joke. But it seems like it will be hitting Australia in June, lending credit to the idea that this is a thing that is actually happening.
