Everything to Know About 'Love Island USA' Season 8, From the Release Schedule to Official Watch Parties
The villa is villa-ing!
Reality TV fans, Love Island USA is fully underway. For the past two years, the Peacock dating show has grown into a cultural phenomenon, with iconic friendships like PPG and catchy memes like "Mamacita" becoming inescapable online. Last year saw the U.S. series reach its highest highs—Nicolandria's romance, Amaya Papaya's soundbites, 2025's most-watched show—and its lowest lows—racism scandals and toxic fandom behavior. If you're like me, LIUSA season 7 left you quite exhausted and a little wary: What can season 8 possibly have in store?
For everyone following the goings-on in Fiji from the comfort of your couch, we're tracking all the breaking news about Love Island USA season 8 so far, from this year's release schedule to the season 8 Islanders. (If you're also looking for a guide about how to watch Love Island UK this summer, we've got you covered.)

When will 'Love Island USA' season 8 start?
Love Island USA season 8 began airing on Tuesday, June 2 at 6 p.m. PT/9 p.m. ET. This will mark the second year that LIUSA begins on the first Tuesday in June.
Last year, the season 7 premiere hit a speed bump when the episode was delayed on Peacock for 40 minutes. Fingers crossed that season 8 will continue to run smoothly.
What is the release schedule for 'Love Island USA' season 8?
Love Island is notorious for its jaw-dropping release schedule: New episodes hit streaming nearly every day of the week at 6 p.m. PT/9 p.m. ET, with the series filmed as close to real-time as possible. (There's only a one-to-two-day delay between events occurring in Fiji and hitting our screens.)
This year, LIUSA season 8 will release episodes every single day of the first full week of streaming; following June 9, episodes will arrive every day except Wednesdays. On Saturdays, starting on June 13, the series airs Love Island Aftersun—a companion show featuring unseen footage and interviews with dumped Islanders.

As for the length of season 8, LIUSA typically doesn't confirm the finale date until midway through the run. Both seasons 6 and 7 ran for 36 episodes (not counting the reunion), so it's likely that season 8 will end around July 12.

Who is in the 'Love Island USA' season 8 cast?
The first batch of Islanders has entered the villa! Love Island is notorious for not announcing its cast until right before the season begins, so Peacock finally teased who the first heartthrobs headed to Fiji are on May 28. The streamer shared a “Meet the Islanders” teaser in which host Ariana Madix introduced the stars whom she described as having “a high chance of charm and flirtation.” In the clip, six men and six women introduce themselves and express their excitement and hopes of finding the one. (A handful of fans have sounded off in the comments at being pleasantly surprised with how "normal" the cast seems, considering they're not exclusively models and influencers, as many reality casts have become.)
Eagle-eyed fans have already done some digging and found the first set of Islanders's Instagrams. Here's who you can expect to meet:
- Aniya Harvey, daughter of NBA player Donnell Harvey and former college volleyball player
- Beatriz Hatz, professional athlete
- Kenzie Annis, nursing school graduate
- Melanie Moreno, manager at a bikini store
- Trinity Tatum, makeup artist and model
- Vasana Montgomery, business owner
- Bryce Dettloff, music teacher/DJ/handyman
- Gabriel Vasconcelos, model hailing from Brazil
- KC Chandler, nursing assistant
- Sean Reifel, police officer
- Sincere Rhea, former NCAA track and field athlete
- Zach Georgiou, British content creator and brother of Love Island USA season 7 alum Charlie Georgiou
Of course, more bombshells will enter the villa, but we'll have to hang tight to see who else is coming to Fiji! In the meantime, start your sleuthing and get ready to play matchmaker!
Who has left the 'Love Island USA' season 8 cast ahead of the premiere?
Before season 8 even began airing, an Islander was dumped from the villa. Soon after this year's OG Islanders were revealed, videos surfaced of Vasana Montgomery using a racial slur. On May 31, three days after the cast reveal, Peacock confirmed to Deadline that Montgomery had been dismissed from Love Island USA season 8.
A Peacock spokesperson told the outlet that "videos of the incident, in which the 25-year-old Montgomery uses the n-word, appear to be privately owned and were not shared publicly until following her announcement, and as such were inaccessible to vet prior to her ousting."
On June 3, Montgomery posted a public apology via an Instagram Story, addressing what she described as "a couple videos from my teen years [in which she] used a racial slur." She continued, “I take full responsibility for what I said and understand why it has hurt and upset people. Since then, I have grown a lot as a person and taken the time to educate myself, listen, learn, and better understand the impact that language can have. That growth does not erase my mistake, and I am not asking anyone to excuse it. I believe people should be held accountable for their actions, but I also believe in growth, learning, and becoming better. To anyone I hurt or disappointed, I am truly sorry.”
Montgomery is the latest Islander to be dismissed after facing allegations that they used a racial slur. Season 7's Yulissa Escobar left the series due to her use of the n-word after appearing in last year's premiere. Meanwhile, season 7 frontrunner Cierra Ortega departed in episode 30 after posts resurfaced where she used a racial slur towards Asian Americans.
Host Ariana Madix gives a tour of the villa.
Who will host 'Love Island USA' season 8?
Vanderpump Rules alum Ariana Madix will return to host Love Island USA season 8 for her third consecutive year. She'll also be joined once again by comedian Iain Stirling and his iconic narration.
Meanwhile, Aftersun has recruited an exciting new hosting duo: Summer House star Ciara Miller and pop-culture commentator Tefi Pessoa will co-host the recap show, taking the reins from Love Island UK legend Maura Higgins (A.K.A. Miller's future Dancing With the Stars rival).
Speaking with Marie Claire ahead of season 8, Madix dished about the upcoming season—as much as she could, since the show's producers were still building the cast. "This happens in such real-time with Love Island, I don't even think they know a lot of stuff to be able to tell me," Madix said. "I'm excited we're going to be back in Fiji, and I think we're going to be in the same villa. I'm really excited to learn who the cast is going to be, but I'm probably going to be finding out about that a day before the world does. I'm living it along with you guys."

Is there a trailer for 'Love Island USA' season 8?
The first teaser for Love Island USA season is here! Peacock posted a short clip on May 6, in which weather forecaster Ariana alerts that a major Love Island heatwave is heading our way. Surprisingly, the teaser ends with the host promising the show's "hottest summer yet," before the camera cuts to a handsome, swimsuit-clad man wearing headphones and holding a clipboard. "See?" Ariana adds.
Could this unnamed PA be one of season 8's Islanders? He wasn't among the first group of Islanders announced, but that hasn't stopped fans from theorizing. It's worth noting that there's no precedent for LIUSA debuting a cast member in a teaser; as Redditors pointed out, last year's promotions seemed to include only Ariana and hired actors. However, the mystery man did ID himself in the post's comments on Instagram. According to his own page, Seth Wilmoth is a fitness influencer who recently ran 13 marathons across 13 different ecoregions in California. We'll have to wait to see if Peacock confirms his casting later on, which would certainly mean season 8 is gearing up to surprise us.
When is Casa Amor for 'Love Island USA' season 8?
This year, Love Island USA is doing things differently for Casa Amor, the mid-season melodrama that tests all of the villa's couples. Peacock has announced that "the jaw-dropping moments from Casa Amor" will be shown in theatrical screenings on Monday, June 22 at 9 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. PT. This marks the first time that the reality TV phenomenon will be shown in cinemas nationwide.
It also marks the first time viewers have gotten this much advance notice that Casa Amor would take place on a certain date. (LIUSA typically doesn't reveal Casa until a day or two before it starts.) It's currently unclear whether the 22nd will mark the start of Casa, but the second villa usually opens in each season's fourth week.
If you can't wait to catch the chaos on the big screen, more information regarding the Love Island USA screenings can be found on Fandango.
We'll be updating this breakdown as developments continue.
