One of TikTok's most fascinating subcultures just got the docusoap treatment. The Mormon moms of TikTok are the stars of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, Hulu's reality series that arrived on streaming in September 2024 and quickly took over the platform. While the show's promo used Utah's 2022 swinging scandal as its hook, the eight-episode season spends much more time on the friendships between the eight women of #MomTok, who count over 10 million followers between them, thanks to their beauty, lifestyle, and mom content. The surprise must-watch docuseries follows the modern women as they grapple with the strict traditional roles of the Mormon church, illuminating everything from their dirty-soda orders to how one Chippendales show could nearly end a marriage.

Fans who've binged the entire first season are now clamoring for any news on whether the titular Mormon wives will return for more episodes. Read on for everything we know so far about a possible The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives season 2.

Has 'The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives' been renewed for season 2?

Let's raise our dirty sodas for a toast! The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives is officially returning for season 2. The news had been rumored for some time, but Hulu officially confirmed the renewal when it announced the season 2 premiere date (more on that below) in a press release in spring 2025.

The series was reportedly confirmed for a second season just one month after it premiered. In early October 2024, TMZ reported that pre-production was underway for season 2, with all eight Mormon wives—including Whitney Leavitt—set to begin filming the following week. Hours later, Deadline published another report, stating that Hulu is "ironing out points to get the girls back together." The outlet did reveal that pre-production is underway in Utah, with filming set to commence "soon." Hallelujah!

It makes sense that the show is coming back. The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives became Hulu's most-watched unscripted premiere of 2024, with tons of fans sharing their thoughts on the show on social media. Considering how much popularity the reality series has gained over the weeks since its premiere, fans will likely get the official renewal announcement from Hulu itself soon.

When will 'The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives' season 2 be released?

On March 10, 2025, Hulu revealed in a press release that The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives season 2 will premiere on Thursday, May 15. All 10 episodes of the second installment will hit streaming on that date.

Who in 'The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives' cast will return for season 2?

Season 1 of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives centers on the eight members of #MomTok at the time: Taylor Frankie Paul, Whitney Leavitt, Mayci Neeley, Mikayla Matthews, Demi Engemann, Jessi Ngatikaura, Jennifer Affleck, and Layla Taylor. However, by the end of the season, it seems at least two members have left the group: Whitney falls out with the rest of the women throughout the show, while Jen chooses to leave when she and her family move to N.Y.C., where her husband Zac is attending medical school.

Although it seemed unclear at the end of season 1 if all eight stars would return in a future season, Hulu has confirmed that everyone will be back. It seems the series has found a way to include Jen and Whitney (or perhaps they have reconciled). Regardless, we can't wait to be back with the gals!

What has the 'Secret Lives of Mormon Wives' cast said about season 2?

Following season 1's release, several of the show's cast members have shared their hopes for a season 2. In an interview with Us Weekly, former #MomTok member Jen Affleck opened up about her time on the show, including how it tested her marriage with her husband Zac. (For anyone wondering, they're still together.) Despite now living far away from Utah, Jen hinted that she'd be open to returning for a second season.

“It had a lot to do with just me and just figuring out everything," Jen said of her decision to leave #MomTok. "There are so many factors—not just our relationship—like religion, friendships, and my children. In order to make the right decision for me and my family, I really had to take a step back and ask myself, ‘How am I going to move forward and what’s best for us?’ You’ll just have to wait for season 2 to see what happens.”

Meanwhile, Whitney Leavitt addressed whether or not she ever plans to rejoin #MomTok while speaking to Page Six. When asked whether she'd return for a season 2, Whitney, who had yet to watch the series, said it depended on what she learns after tuning into the first installment.

“I think my best answer to that question is I want to wait to see it,” she said. “I want to wait to see what was really said, what was really done. It’s kind of hard to make that decision when I have no idea.” Now that we know she'll be back, clearly, she wasn't too hurt by the series and was willing to participate again.

What will 'The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives' season 2 be about?

Hulu has released an official season 2 synopsis: "The scandalous world of Mormon #MomTok is back and bigger than ever! When an original swinger from their infamous sex scandal makes a surprise return, friendships threaten to unravel as secrets, lies, and allegations explode. In a battle for the soul of #MomTok, will betrayal shatter the sisterhood, or will the truth set them free?"

Is there a trailer for 'The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives' season 2?

Yes! Hulu dropped the full-length trailer in late April. The very dramatic clip shows the titular wives wrestling with whether they want to welcome Whitney back into their group and becoming shaken that Miranda, the woman Taylor Frankie Paul was swinging with, has resurfaced. Of Whitney hoping to reunite, Jessi says, "I don’t feel like inviting the devil back in," to which Whitney seemingly responds in a confessional, "I think everybody just needs to get the stick out of their ass."

As for the introduction of Miranda, who used to be besties with Paul, the claws are set to come out. While she attempts "to set the record straight on this cheating scandal," the other women accuse her of "clout-chasing," and Paul's ex isn't too pleased either.

The trailer also features shots of various meltdowns, mentions of drama at Vanderpump Villa in Italy(!), Paul's concerns with her husband's sobriety, and more marital tension. Pour out some dirty soda because we're tuned in!

Though it features some of the same footage in the full-length trailer, a teaser also dropped when Hulu revealed the premiere date. If you're dying for more to hold you over before then, the date announcement shows the women opening up about grudges, celebrating #MomTok's survival, dealing with pregnancies and spats between friends and husbands and wives.
